Bruce Coleman Perkins - President
Bruce joined the firm in 1983, and became President of Flather & Perkins, Inc. in 1992. He received a BA degree with honors in Fine Arts from Washington and Lee University in 1973. He is a native of Washington, DC, and has been very involved with insurance and the fine and decorative arts worlds for over thirty-five years. He is active in the fine and decorative arts world as a volunteer. Since 1992 he has served on the Board of Trustees of the Henry Francis du Pont Winterthur Museum; is the past Chairman of the Board and is currently Chairman of the Collection Committee. He is also President of the Board of Governors of the Decorative Arts Trust; Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Royal Oak Foundation; Past President of the Board of Trustees of the American Ceramic Circle and a founding member of the Board of the Washington Decorative Arts Forum.
An avid third generation collector, he focuses on early 18th Century Chinese Export Armorial Porcelain, 18th and early 19th Century American furniture, prints, and glass.
